Pins and Needles

Most of the six or seven readers of this blog already know that Kari and I are attempting to adopt a second child from China. The latest news is that we are almost there! We signed the official “Yes we want to be parents of this child” document recently and mailed it back to China. Now, we are just awaiting The Call.

Since we didn't really want to leave Ben behind, and since I got to have all the fun last time, Kari will be making the trip solo this summer, hopefully sometime within the next month. Our new son will be called Christopher. He just turned three and he currently resides in Guangxi Province--I had to deal with bitter cold when I went to get Ben; Kari will have to deal with sweltering heat.

More news will be forthcoming, I promise.

Congratulation, Guys. :) What a beautiful name you have chosen.

Ya, we look forward to meeting Christopher, though we can't meet at Charlie Brown's anymore as no longer exists.

Hi,
Just want to congratulate you folks on having a new member! I found your blog about 1 year ago when I was searching for jazz stuff in Rochester. Your blog, especially Ben's saga, often cracks me up and helps me survive the bitter winter and tremendous work load of my graduate study. Thank you for sharing your story! I'm looking forward to reading about Christopher. I hope Kari has an uneventful trip to China!

Kari handles eventfull trips well. I hope Christopher is easy going and mild tempered. I am sure that when he is in your loving arms he will be in heaven. All my Love.

Mon. AM
I have time to catch up on my reading because Anthony won't wake up this morning - "Ben wore me out."
Carol, John and Leon went ahead to ride the canal trail and we'll catch up with them when Anthony has recuperated.

Thanks for all the great comments!

Here's hoping that we get some news soon. Ben is also anxiously waiting for Christopher to arrive. He has all kinds of plans for his new little brother/victim.
